Mas Selamat Kastari is a Muslim Indonesian-born Singaporean who was, for more than a year, Singapore's most-wanted fugitive after escaping from detention on 27 February 2008. The search for him has been described as the largest manhunt ever launched in Singapore. He was eventually recaptured in Skudai, Malaysia, on 1 April 2009, over a year after his escape, and has since been returned to Singapore. His escape was found to be one of the events in Singapore's history that Singaporeans were most aware of, with 95% being aware of it.

The Green Cockatoo is a 1937 British drama film directed by William Cameron Menzies and starring John Mills, Rène Ray, and Robert Newton. It was adapted by Ted Barkman from a story by Graham Greene and shot at Denham Studios. It tells the story of an innocent young woman who arrives in London looking for work and, pursued by both criminals and police, is involved in a headlong series of fights and flights.

I've Failed You is the sixth studio album by Canadian heavy metal band Kittie, released on August 30, 2011, through eOne Music. The album builds on the style and production of their previous album In the Black (2009) and features more personal and introspective lyrics, drawing from various events of turmoil that vocalist and guitarist Morgan Lander experienced in the two years following the aforementioned album's release. It was produced by Siegfried Meier and was primarily recorded at Beach Road Studios in Goderich, Ontario; Ivy Jenkins' bass tracks were recorded separately in the United States, as immigration issues prevented her from travelling to Canada.
